Beacon 4 Mariemont Schools (B4MS) website is a local school community comprised of parents, grandparents, educators, and students committed to educating the community in the following areas:
- Follow national trends in K-12 education, with a focus on emerging radical or untested philosophies.
- Track State of Ohio bills, laws, and Department of Education guidance involving K-12 education.
- Report where local school districts, including ours, are introducing content in K-12 curriculum beyond the traditional scope of public education. We communicate these changes and their origins. We evaluate potential impacts on our children.
- Study and inform our school community regarding movements in neo-Marxist Social Justice and Critical Theories and their negative impacts on our society.
- Seek to improve transparency in school policy and decision-making.
We believe that parents/guardians and families have the primary role in the moral development of our children, supplemented by teachers and other mentors.
B4MS seeks to promote and ensure transparency in what our public institutions are teaching our children, and we encourage parents/guardians to know what their children are being taught. We seek equality in opportunity for all children. We treasure diversity in thought and ideas, and in the personalities of individuals. We abhor mistreatment or bullying of individuals or groups.
We believe that judgment of our fellow humans should be based on the content of their character as defined by principles of honesty, integrity, and kindness. We promote teaching fundamental ideals of our nation in liberty and individual freedom, including the successes and shortcomings of our shared history. We support teaching a vision of hope and optimism based on these ideals and common goals.
Our mission is to shine light. We strive to honestly and accurately inform the community on local, state, and national issues related to K-12 education. Our desire is to provide encouragement and constructive suggestions. We welcome a healthy and courteous exchange of ideas. If you like to Subscribe or Contact Us please click on the imbedded links.
